Saxon-Bohemian Network of Manufacturing Expertise in Engineering and Plant Construction
The project supports the development and establishment of cross-border business networks to enable cooperation to take place between Saxony and northern Bohemia in engineering and plant construction. The first activities agreed related to the joint production and purchase of parts designed according to customer drawings.
Goals
- Initiating, developing and setting up cross-border business networks for cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises in the border region between Saxony and north / north-west Bohemia in engineering and plant construction.
- Creating synergies in the joint manufacturing and purchase of parts designed according to customer drawings and systems components.
- Integrating the project in a Saxon Bohemian Innovation and Cooperation Centre for Engineering and Plant Construction (IKC) to strengthen joint relations between Saxony and Bohemia and improve the competitiveness of both regions.
Course of Action
- Preparing the small and medium-sized enterprises and collating their requirements from a technological, capacity and organisational point of view
- Comparing the requirements and opportunities on the Saxon and Czech sides
- Developing and testing cooperation procedures
- Consolidating and expanding manufacturing cooperation between trans-national network associations
- Developing new examples of value creation with the help of an Innovation and Cooperation Centre (IKC)
