MBH Maschinenbauhandel GmbH Opens Its New Working Premises

The new working premises for MBH Maschinenbauhandel GmbH at the "Am Industriemuseum" business park were completed in December 2005 after the building work took only five months. The specialist wholesaler in the antifriction bearings, screws and tools sectors supplies metal and electrical engineering industry companies based in the region.  Because of the positive economic developments in and around Chemnitz, it was necessary to have a new building to house the stores and administrative offices. The new building has a total of 500 m² of storage and office space and is located at a site made available with the help of CWE; the new building will meet the company's future needs. An additional job has also been created as a result of the new building.

The new stores and office complex was opened on Friday afternoon (3 February) with all those involved in the building work present. The builder, the managing director of MBH Maschinenbauhandel GmbH Uwe Riedel and the managing director of Chemnitzer Wirtschaftsförderungs- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (Chemnitz Business Support and Development Company) Ulrich Geissler issued invitations to attend. The mayor of Chemnitz Dr. Peter Seifert also greeted those attending in a speech.

Background: Attractive commercial property has been created at the thriving business park after - 600,000 was invested in the abandoned site next to the Industrial Museum. The 10,000 m² commercial building site provides an attractive site close to the city centre with good transport connections for new companies to move to the area. It is designed to mainly house small and medium-sized enterprises from the region.

CWE has been able to market the sites at the park to investors within less than two years. The city council has already confirmed that sales agreements have been signed with three companies. The first move has now been completed with the opening of the new building for MBH Maschinenbauhandel GmbH (previously based at Borssenanger 6). "Richter Kartonagen" (currently at Strasse der Nationen 114) and "Werbung & Vertrieb Metzner" (currently at Zschopauer Str. 171) will now follow suit. CWE has also found a company for the fourth and last plot of land and the sales agreement for this deal is currently being processed by the real estate office.
